HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS

Is your patient at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes or do they have prediabetes (HbA1c 5.7-6.4%)?

Small Steps for Big ChangES is a program that can empower your patients to make lasting dietary and exercise changes to lower their risk of type 2 diabetes.

The program was developed and tested by the Diabetes Prevention Research Group at the University of British Columbia. We found that most individuals continued to be physically active and consumed a healthier diet months after the program ended. Those who participated in the program also improved their fitness levels, showed evidence of reduced inflammation, decreased their waist circumference and blood pressure, and experienced weight loss.
