I found the mock session pretty hard and awkward at first. It was challenging to keep the flow of conversation going while trying to use motivational, open-ended questions the way the program encourages. I didn’t feel very natural at first.
What really helped me was practicing in my own way. I used ChatGPT to run through mock scenarios that were tailored to the SSBC style. I could role-play different situations, ask for corrections, and then try again until it started to feel more comfortable.

My client has been trying to use the HW app (on android). all looks fine and is working as expected, until we get a 'suggestion / tips pop up window' that locks up the app. We deleted and reinstalled the app, same issue. Any techies have any advice?

Hello folks, I am was unable to collect a HbA1c sample from one of my clients during their first session. What do I do if I can't extract enough blood for a sample? After the normal process was unsuccessful I had the client walk around, swing their arms, run their hands under warm water and still couldn't get even half a sample size. They have multiple heath things going on right now and may be on medication that effects blood flow to the extremities. They have really cold hands.
Should I try taking a sample after the exercise portion? I know that's not best practice but I am not sure where to go from here.

I was lucky with my first client, she was super motivated and scheduled the rest of the sessions at our first meeting. My second client has had alot going on so scheduling has been a bit trickier. I try to open up my schedule as much as possible but still a challenge. I did go back to what we chatted about in our first session and we talked about why making these changes are important to her - it sparked a bit more motivation and I havent had issues with scheduling since.

Hello!
I'm a new coach for SSBC and currently starting on my first client, they seem like they're asking for a lot of different goals but not sure how to go about that, any advice?
Sometimes I have found it helpful to refect back on the first session, where they discuss and write down their values and reasons for joining the program. You might be able to nudge them towards more specific long term and short term goals in relation to those 'drivers'.
As another tip, you might be able to package a few goals into one, for example "buy new gym shoes so that I can get to the gym this week" Hope that helps
